"It's a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing." - Augustus Waters (aka. the love of our lives)
If you do not recognize those words up there, I don't think you should be on this wiki at all. Really. And you should stop reading this blog post now and go read (or re-read in which case you should be ashamed of your reading skills) The Fault in Our Stars.
So once we've established that only all people who know the existence of that quote are reading this I shall begin.
Hello there dear Starfaulters! How are you all doing today? Hopefully good cause it's just about to go bad again. We'll be discussing Augstus Waters. (I'm sorry, I know how hard it is to mention his name without blubbering like a little baby. I really am sorry.)
We all know Augustus was the lead male character in TFiOS and blah blah blah. You can read this page if you want to know more about him. But here, let us talk about him and his metaphors. I'm now going to quote TFiOS as one of my favourite characters Isaac had described him perfectly. "And he was pretentious: Sweet Jesus Christ, that kid never took a piss without pondering the abundant metaphorical resonances of human waste production."
Okay so now that we know that Augustus Waters was definitely one of a kind, can we discuss how we interpret his metaphors? I would list all of them here but it'll be better if you guys comment one and then we discuss it. Yay! :D
P.S. Just updaing you guys on what's happening on this wiki. Your opinions on this blog will really be appreciated. Thanks.
